Korona Games was in Nuremberg
Two years were missed due to Covid, but this year the world’s largest toy exhibition was held again in Nuremberg, Bavaria. Of course, we couldn’t miss it either, because building international relations is an important part of the activities of the Kard és Korona publisher company. Invisible was published in Polish in 2019 by Trefl, while last year Dice upon a Time was published by Blackfyre in the Czech Republic.

Last copies & Cinderella
We are perfectly aware that everyone must bear this hard & crazy times. The coronavirus halted the entire world suddenly and leads to so many consequences that we are not able to foresee at this point. We all hope the status is going to change very soon, and things will be the same as they used to be.

Once Upon a BGG
hin the next 1-2 weeks, as well as you will like it, since you are one of the people who helped to create this game as one of the first supporters.

A tale of Christmas
It has been a long time since we had an update for you dear backers, but this hardly means that we have not been working on the project. For those who have never done a Kickstarter campaign let me tell you, there are a lot of things to cover you couldn’t even imagine.

Conquering Essen
First of all, we would like to apologize to you all that we report the recent event – Essen Spiel 2019 (greatest board game convention on the world) in delay, but everything happened so fast that we could hardly catch up. We proudly announce:

Journey to East and West
We have visited our manufacturer Ningbo Eastar in China. It was a fabulous journey, the kind we are going to tell our grandchildren. The primary goal of the visit was to have a look at the manufacturing process of Dice Upon a Time, because it’s really important to us to make sure we can thank you for your support with a perfect quality product. The good news is that having seen every single work phase I can confirm that DUAT is in the finish line. Eastar is doing a fantastic job. It was a perfect choice to collaborate with them. They are not only a very good business partner but also nice people and welcoming hosts. May a few pictures tell you about the incarnation process of DUAT:
ABOUT OUR PUBLISHER IN BRIEF
The beginnings
Where he was, where he wasn’t, on the seventeenth border, but even beyond the Old Permian Sea, there was once a Hungarian man who was tired of walking around, of many pointless disputes, of pointing fingers at each other instead of building together, so he decided to make toys for families and groups of friends to make them happy. Because playing it is arguably good, one of the best things about this beautiful world!
Thus, in 2014, the Sword and Korona Publishing House (in short: Blue Game) was born, and with it the first eponymous game that invited warlords who tested their courage and dexterity to war in medieval Hungary during the bloody period following the extinction of the House of Árpád. It was immediately a huge success among the Hungarian historical games-hungry home crowd, which was followed by the other Blue Games: Cobweb, the Hungarian Folk Tales toy family, Days of Ire: BudaPest 1956, Hexpanse, Beyond the Cube Hill…
Quality in gaming
The goal is always the same: to create games that are great fun for children, adults and even gamers, the whole family. And all this with beautiful graphics, first-class printing products and components, everything in the usual way in the international cutting edge. With us, not only the development, but also most of the production takes place in Hungary, because in the Keskeny Printing House the publisher has found a partner with whom they can mutually trust each other. It is important for Blue Game that the intellectual product of Hungarian people is born through the work of Hungarian people, even if it costs a little more money. As the company’s motto goes: Quality in gaming experience. From which we do not bargain and do not compromise, because it is not worth doing it in any other way than with heart and soul.
Board game for everyone
Interest in board games has grown exponentially over the past decade, now it is not only of interest to children, people in their 40s, 50s and even 60s are very happy to play in the right company. Over the past decade, board game clubs, cafes, pubs have proliferated, and events and shows of local and often even national scope have appeared. The mission of the Blue Game is to bring people together in the digital age, because there is no substitute for being together in person, and right now more and more children need it the most, not to give them gadgets, but to give them our time and shared experiences. For all this, we create quality, exciting and most of the time board games related to our Hungarian culture, traditions and history for everyone.
